As an animal lover interested in adopting an animal from AARRC, you will appreciate the time and care we're taking to make 100% certain that our loved ones will go to a suitable home where they are loved and cared for. Therefore, we've summarised the rules here.
The Adoption Process in easy steps
- Select a pet from these pages
- Send us a message about which pet you'd like to adopt
- We will make an appointment for a house visit
- You sign an adoption agreement
- You pick up your new best pal and take him or her home
- Adoption is free
- House visit by our representatives is mandatory
- We reserve the right to deny adoption if we feel the conditions are not in the best interest of the animal
- ALL animals (no exceptions) are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and dewormed
Sponsoring and Donations
If you're unable to adopt one of our sweethearts but you would still like to help, then why not consider sponsoring one or more of these fabulous animals? Sponsoring an animal will allow AARRC to help more animals and since we receive no government or other external aid other than donations, your contribution is vital. The minimal amount to sponsor a dog or cat is the equivalent of US$10 or EUR10 per month, but there's nothing to stop you from sponsoring a number of animals or simply add a little extra. Sponsors receive a newletter on our activities and their chosen sponsor dog or cat by email.
We suggest the following amounts:
EUR10 is "Supportive Sponsoring", which doesn't cover the average cost of keeping an animal, but of course it really helps us.
EUR20 is "Full Sponsoring", which covers the average cost, incl. food, medicines, vaccinations, veterinary care, housing and staff.
Of course, one-time or regular donations are also very welcome. That way we can keep up helping the stray animals with spay/neuter projects, medicated feeding and so on. The animals that we rescue all require regular vaccinations and veterinary care, so your donations will help pay the bills.
Especially for AARRC, we have set up a foundation in the Netherlands that takes care of all the international donations: Stichting Albert or The Albert Foundation. This foundation is a registered charity in the Netherlands. This way we ensure that your donation reaches the animals that need it.
